Treadwell "Chases The Dream" through upcoming Tournament at Piedmont Club

HAYMARKET, VA - PxM Golf will host the "Chasing the Dream Golf Tournament" on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the Piedmont Club in Haymarket, VA. The tournament will feature golf professional, Trey Treadwell, a Haymarket resident that recently turned pro in March 2009. The day begins with drinks and a clinic with Treadwell at 12:30pm. Tee off is set for 1:00pm. The entry fee is $1,000 per foursome or $250 per individual. All proceeds will be invested in PxM Golf to help fund Trey's journey to the PGA Tour. Participants may designate a business, charity, or individual to receive the membership in PxM Golf, LLC for each $1,000 paid.

Playing professional golf has been a lifelong dream of Treadwell. "I've been playing high-level, competitive golf, national-level golf, really since college," said Treadwell, who attended the Air Force Academy. "All through junior golf and growing up, I thought about becoming a professional golfer." Playing for the Air Force Academy golf team allowed Treadwell to compete against Division I talent and receive his education. As he continued an 11-year commitment to the Air Force, completed his Master's Degree at George Mason University, and worked as a Department of Defense consultant and program manager, Treadwell continued to compete in numerous amateur events from 1997 through 2007, winning the U.S. Armed Forces Golf Championships three consecutive times and the U.S. Air Force Golf Championships twice in a row. In March 2009, he made the long-awaited decision to turn pro, joining the Tar Hell Tour and the NGA Hooters Tour. Treadwell is intent on making the PGA Tour and has formed the company, PxM Golf, to fund his pursuit and manage his career. In addition to competing on these national tours, he spends nine to ten hours a day playing or reviewing his past performances and improving every facet of his game. As he puts in the final preparations for his first fundraising tournament, Treadwell states, "Pursuing my dream has been a blast. I enjoy sharing my experiences on tour and the thrill of competing with my friends and supporters. I am grateful for this opportunity. The best is yet to come."
